MedAccess Youngsville Ribbon Cutting 2012

by Brenda Fuller

MedAccess Urgent Care, located at 700 Hwy 1 in Youngsville, recently opened their practice. The medical practice is locally owned by Dr. Matt Mullen of Wake Forest, Evan Dapo PA-C of Youngsville, and Drs. Kimberly Yarborough and Dan Phillips of Roxboro.

MedAccess along with the Chamber and YABA hosted a Ribbon Cutting on Tuesday, December 18, 2012. Many people showed up to see the ribbon cutting, including the Chamber’s own Joe Jones.

The urgent care center is in a new building with ten exam rooms, and has on site lab, X-Ray and a small pharmacy. It will be open 7 days a week. The center provides medical care for a wide variety of illnesses and injuries for patients over 6 months of age. Colds, flu, broken bones, lacerations, trouble breathing, dehydration and general physical exams are examples of usual cases that can be treated in an urgent care setting. The center will be staffed by a physician and a physician assistant and no appointment is needed.

MedAccess Urgent Care also has a clinic in Roxboro, where it was the first certified urgent care center in North Carolina as designated by the Urgent Care Association of America. The Youngsville location will be open Monday through Thursday 9 am-6 pm, Friday 9 am-4 pm, and 9 am-2 pm on Saturday and Sunday. Hours are expected to expand as needed.
